Art as a form of expression
The first gesture, the first movement that defines a scratch on the sheet is always the most demanding. Attack the blank sheet and overcome the first moments of uncertainty, then everything comes naturally. The drawing almost builds itself.
The beginning of the act of drawing begins by apprehending and assimilating, when drawing something we have to understand its shape, its symmetry or irregularities, its nuances and angles. Paulo Goulão, graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon, embraced the activity of illustrator and artist since the early days at the António Arroio School of Decorative Arts.
